I bowl in a league out of Sparta Lanes on Friday nights and we had a team that four of the members were not going to make it. One was in a car accident, one is out on doctors supervision, two were sick, and the fifth persn refused to bowl with out any team memebers. Our league rules clearly state that one bowler is a legal line up. Yet, this team was allowed to do a make-up because the one bowler refused to bowl with out the team mates. IN the other leagues I bowl in this would be an automatic forfit. What I am not sure of is, is this rule a league rule or a rule from USBC.
I also have another question about the entire officers of the league being in the same family. Is this allowed?
Thank you for your time,

Well in our league i believe when the other team doesn't show up you bowl against their averages and handicap. So basically you have to beat your average to beat the non exsisting team. Now im not sure of the official USBC rules but it seems that one person is good enough to bowl with.

The rule is that as a team you must be in a calculate amount. This 10 pins for each member of the team. So if there are 4 people on the team, as a tem use must be within 40 points of your teams average.

The league officers are voted in. If there is an issue with who the are officers are, then have a league meeting with all participants and make a bylaw of how many officers can be family members.
